An ethical brand

Néprun is inspired by the name of the buckthorn shrub, which has dyeing properties. The name of our brand sums up its concept: Using plants to dye your clothes.

The colors and patterns are handmade, plant-based. The materials are natural and respect the planet. The unisex cuts combine modernity, comfort and elegance. The production is French and artisanal, in small series.

At Néprun, there are two of us : Cindy is a dyer, Océane is a seamstress . Together, we promote natural dyes and French textile know-how and offer unique and eco-responsible pieces.

Natural dyes and patterns

It is in our workshop located in Indre that Cindy creates all the dyes and patterns by hand.
She learned these processes in France, India and Japan.

All our dyes are derived from plants and fixed on the fibers with minerals. They are harmless to the skin and biodegradable.

Modeling and tailoring

All our pieces are prototyped by Océane . Thanks to her expertise as a costume designer, she cuts fitted and elegant models.

She then makes part of the production. The other part is entrusted to a professional integration assistance workshop located 20km from the workshop.

MADE IN FRANCE

We promote local raw materials such as merino wool and linen, as well as French textile know-how .

We surround ourselves with partners who share our values .

Our French Partners

ACT 36

Agir 36 is a professional integration sewing workshop located in Châteauroux. It is in this workshop that some of our clothes are made.

Métis Factory

It is in this factory located in Doubs that the fabric of the jackets is made.

We chose the chevron weave, with a GOTS organic cotton warp and a French linen weft.

Berry mesh

All our knitted products are knitted and then re-knitted at Maille Berry, with whom we share the workshop. Their zero waste approach and quality services allow us to have sustainable products.

The creators

Cindy and Océane met 8 years ago in a theater costume workshop. Complementary, they decided to create their brand of clothing in natural dyes made in France in 2021: NEPRUN.

At the same time, they work as costume designers for the Theatre, Cinema and Opera.
