Where does the fabric for your jackets come from?

Focus on the manufacturing of the Néprun jacket fabric
Cédric, from Manufacture Métis , is our weaver.

Based in Doubs, he bought old weaving machines, some dating back to 1907!
Repaired, modified, they now weave the cotton/linen chevron of your GARANCE, INDIGO and TIE & DYE jackets!
The cotton comes from Turkey. Cotton is not produced in Europe, so we have to go and get it from a little further away. It is organic, and spun in Europe.

Linen , on the other hand, comes from our Normandy coasts ! It is grown in Italy
Linen spinning was relocated at the time of the deindustrialization of France, the sector is gradually recovering.
Map of France showing the locations of the different stages of manufacturing the Néprun jacket fabric. Linen: Normandy coast. Cotton: Turkey. Weaving: Manufacture Métis in Franche-Comté. Washing: southwest France. Néprun workshop: Jeu-les-Bois, near Châteauroux.

These two threads then arrive at Cédric's. He then assembles the fabric chain
These are the basic threads, between which the weft threads will intertwine.
The machine then takes over, weaving around 40m/day

Then the roll of fabric goes into the wash, in the southwest of France, it takes a little time, 100m of fabric to wash!
At this point, it is the clothing workshop that takes over.
